Vision Without the Cross of Christ You Perish in Your Sins Never Getting to the Resurrection....
Preacher, Apart from a Vision of the Cross, You Lead People Astray in a Pasture of Heresy, Works Righteousness or Unrestrained Lawlessness Away from the Lord's Table Unified in Christ.

“Where there is no revelation (vision), the people cast off restraint (perish) but happy is he who keeps the law.” ‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:18‬

Paul determined to know Jesus Christ and Him crucified for he determined to know and grow in the love of God poured out toward him through the blood of Jesus. This vision allowed Paul to grow in the wisdom, revelation and knowledge of Christ - empowered by grace to give love to God growing in praise and thanksgiving, the fruit of loving the brethren and giving mercy to those who assaulted his body through immense persecution. He had a vision of his eternal inheritance and knew his suffering was but a momentary and light afflliction, he could cast off the pull of the temporal for a vision of Christ Jesus and the eternal weight of everlasting glory, peace, joy and fellowship with his Savior. He continued to understand and grow in the weight of Christ sufferings on his behalf and thank God for an indescrible gift, feasting on the blood and flesh of the table of our Lord.

In light of God's mercy, we put on the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God restrains us from living a life of walking in the flesh filling up our minds with carnality for we have seen death in those paths and the deceptive work of the enemy.

“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:11-14‬

Walking with a vision of the Cross is walking in the Light, providing us praise and thanksgiving for the Risen Advocacy of Jesus before our Father, rewarding us for confessing and repenting, renewing God's mercy in our mind, soul, spirit and tent.

“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” I John‬ ‭1:5-10‬

Upon what have I fixed my eyes, my sight, my heart and mind? Jesus Christ revealed in scripture or an idol created in my image, mind and thinking?

“But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.”

Shining Lights.....

"For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world." Philippians 2:13-15

“Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.” ‭Jude‬ ‭1:14-25

Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and fellowship of His sufferings.‬

"So that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?" Matthew 5:45-47

Ingratitude, ungratefulness, these thoughts lead me to the wrath of God and I become a fool.

What God For Us And Toward Us In Giving His Son Should Leave A Song of Praise and Thanksgiving Daily!

Has the salvation of God's gift in Christ become your daily delight and joy? I will never accept and rejoice in suffering until this becomes a reality, revelation and posture of my heart.

“Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools" Romans 1:21-22

The cross of Jesus Christ is a love gift so monumental, a mercy and grace offering that insults any form of human suffering and affliction for we were unjust, Jesus the only just one, we were wicked, HE righteous, we were dead in sin and trespasses, HE without blemish, pure and holy, we were all rebellious, stubborn and stiff necked, Jesus was obedient, submissive to the Father's will.

Complaining and ingratitude in my life insults the gift of Christ and I know this, God be true and every man a liar. There is no place of temporal suffering that God can take me where I do not have the power by HIS spirit to be thankful and grateful. In this world you will tribulation but be of Good Cheer, I have overcome the world. Do you believe this?

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew‬ ‭5:38-48‬

If I Am Not Still, I Will Chase Worthlessness, Hasten My Feet To Sin and Turn God's Glory To Shame....

“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah” ‭Psalms‬ ‭4:1-4‬

“Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge, and he sins who hastens with his feet.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19:2‬

May we be patient, prayerful, thankful people, guarding our heart from hastening to the cry and pull of the world, the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life. May we be a humble people, apt to follow our Good and Great Shepherd, correctible, free from deceitful, slanderous, backbiting lips, gazing on the Cross, feasting on the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit's power laying down our lives for the brethren and loving them well, praying for our enemies and those who despitefully use us! Jesus Christ is Lord, King, Conqueror and Ruler of All! HE has overcome the world!

“But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.” Hebrews ‭10:32-39‬

Is My Defense of God? Surrender, the Battle is the Lord's and in Christ Victory is Assurred!

“O LORD my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; And deliver me, Lest they tear me like a lion, Rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver. O LORD my God, if I have done this: If there is iniquity in my hands, If I have repaid evil to him who was at peace with me, Or have plundered my enemy without cause, Let the enemy pursue me and overtake me; Yes, let him trample my life to the earth, And lay my honor in the dust. Selah Arise, O LORD, in Your anger; Lift Yourself up because of the rage of my enemies; Rise up for me to the judgment You have commanded! So the congregation of the peoples shall surround You; For their sakes, therefore, return on high. The LORD shall judge the peoples; Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, And according to my integrity within me. Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds. My defense is of God, Who saves the upright in heart. God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day. If he does not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He bends His bow and makes it ready. He also prepares for Himself instruments of death; He makes His arrows into fiery shafts. Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. He made a pit and dug it out, And has fallen into the ditch which he made. His trouble shall return upon his own head, And his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown. I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.”‭ Psalm 7

Are you resting in the Advocacy of God's gift in Christ? Stop striving and COME to JESUS - HE is mankind's only defense for apart from Christ, nothing is good, clean, righteous, worthy, true, acceptable, pure and undefiled. Are you growing to love Jesus more daily or loving your 'devotion', 'discipline' or 'works'? A direct reflection is how I love the brethren for it will be deepening as my walk, joy and delight in Christ matures. It is impossible to have continuous intimate fellowship with Jesus and not be accountable with the brethren in deep fellowship, communion and joy.

Is Jesus Welcome in the Abode of My Soul? Do I Have Ears To Hear? Not Am I Quoting But Am I Abiding in Him and He in me?

Then Jesus said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.” So the Jews said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, ‘Where I go you cannot come’?” And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” Then they said to Him, “Who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning. I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.” They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father. Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father.” They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. You do the deeds of your father.” Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.” Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” John‬ ‭8:21-47‬

Either Christ is crucifying sin in me or I am trampling under foot the blood of His Cross. If HE is welcome and at rest the Spirit of God is waring against the sin of my deceitful heart, the corruption of the flesh, the lies from the enemy, I become crucified and the resurrection reveals HE is alive.

There is an admonition - the Holy Spirit gave Paul and is for us - “For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame— who set their mind on earthly things.” Philippians‬ ‭3:18-19‬

“But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.” Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.” Jesus answered and said, “This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake. Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” This He said, signifying by what death He would die. The people answered Him, “We have heard from the law that the Christ remains forever; and how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them. But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?” Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again: “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.” These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him. Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him— the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” ‭John‬ ‭12:23-50‬

Out of the Abundance of the Heart the Mouth Speaks....

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise. A fool’s wrath is known at once, But a prudent man covers shame. He who speaks truth declares righteousness, But a false witness, deceit. There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health. The truthful lip shall be established forever, But a lying tongue is but for a moment. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy. No grave trouble will overtake the righteous, But the wicked shall be filled with evil. Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.” ‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:15-22‬

“They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; With flattering lips and a double heart they speak. May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaks proud things,” ‭Psalms‬ ‭12:2-3‬

True or Empty Confession?

“Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” ‭John‬ ‭12:42-43‬

If I confess Christ, I confess I am a slave, servant, son of the Most High God, a martyr, crucified and bought - this property owned by blood, raised in the power of HIS resurrection. Do I seek to please men or my Heavenly Father?

There are only two ways in the earth, any view other than Jesus or HIS way, darkness or LIGHT........

My Way Or His Way? Where is my heart for there my treasure is.....

"There is a way that seems right unto man but its end is the way of death." Proverbs 14:12

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life - no one comes to the Father but by Me." John 14:6

Beware Brian, a mere scripture quoter, singer, praiser and babbler means little - "'THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME. BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN." Matthew 15:8-9

If I do not worship the Father in Spirit and Truth, Word and Deed, bring forth fruits of repentance unto LIFE - I worship in vain and therein nothing can be built on this foundation.

Am I loving my neighbor or talking about my neighbor? If I talk to God about my neighbor, I will love them as HE desires for me to do so.

How I View, Am Kind or Evil and Speak of Others is a Direct Mirror Reflected of How I Perceive God Sees Me.

“With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; With the pure You will show Yourself pure; And with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd. For You will save the humble people, But will bring down haughty looks.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18:25-27‬

"For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" Matthew 6:14

“To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.‭‭" Titus‬ ‭1:15-16

When my orthodoxy is rock solid yet my orthopraxy contradicts, I am in sin, hypocrisy and a stumbling block for witnesses to get to the cross of Jesus Christ. The great need for bringing forth fruits of repentance and knowing I need an Advocate but moreover realizing in Christ Jesus I have One and HE is my only righteousness. ‬

How I speak, love, refrain from speaking of others, forgive and walk humbly says more about what I believe than mere words without power. Speaking is sharing, listening is caring. Do I care? Have I really listened to God?

"The kingdom of God does not consists of talk or in mere words but in power" I Cointhians 4:20

Has God's Spirit arrested Brian to shut up then I can confess my sin, praise God for pardon, sing to Jesus with thanksgiving, listen to HIM, receive forgiveness, be rebuked by God, corrected, encouraged, instructed, edified and resurrected from my ashes and sackcloth.

"There are many plans in a man's heart nevertheless the counsel of the Lord that will stand." Proverbs 19:21

God's plan and will? "For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven." Colossians 1:19-20

Does the counsel you are walking in accord with the bloody Cross of Jesus Christ and His ministry of reconciliation eating the flesh and drinking this blood of the Risen Son of God?

If not, I am walking in my counsel, my plans and they will not stand and will prove to be futile.
