Lift Up Christ, May We Decrease and Point To His Glory! Am I Joyfully Forgiven and Humbled?

Has the Spirit of God Overflowed Your Heart With Thanksgiving For the Blessedness of God in Giving the Gift of His Son? The only way to be pardoned is to admit guilt, freedom comes from a true confession. The only true confession is born of the Spirit of Christ.

"Blessed is the man whose sin is forgiven, whose sin is covered, Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, in whose spirit there is no deceit." Psalm 32:1-2

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned— for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for on the one hand the judgment arose from one transgression resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions resulting in justification. For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5

Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! That I may know Him and the power of HIS resurrection and fellowship of HIS sufferings.

"For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you and how turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God and wait for His Son from heaven whom He raised from the dead even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come." I Thessalonians 1:9-10

Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and fellowship of His sufferings.

"Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The goodness of God endures continually. Your tongue devises destruction,
Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. You love evil more than good, Lying rather than speaking righteousness. You love all devouring words, You deceitful tongue. God shall likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, And uproot you from the land of the living. The righteous also shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying, Here is the man who did not make God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. I will praise You forever, Because You have done it; And in the presence of Your saints I will wait on Your name, for it is good." Psalm 52

"Listen to counsel and receive instruction that you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man's heart nevertheless the counsel of the Lord that shall stand. What is desired in a man is kindness and a poor man is better than a liar. The fear of the Lord leads to life and he who has it will abide in satisfaction, he will not be visited with evil." Proverbs 19:20-23

The Mercy of God Will Overwhelm Us To Be Thankful, Submissive, Loving and Merciful.

"Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men. For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men. But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. Reject a factious man after a first and second warning, knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned." Titus 3:1-11

Never excusing sin but realizing in Christ through the Holy Spirit every power deposited in us to overcome unbelief, which is at the core, the root of all unrighteousness.

Our focus must stop being on what we have done for God, for we can do nothing but offer dirty rags; it MUST be a clearer understanding of what God has done for us in Christ and continues to do in and through us by HIS mercy (us not getting what we deserve - Jesus did, look at the bloody tree) and grace (we receive what we do not deserve - lovingkindness, acceptance into God's family through Jesus, power to live, see, discern, walk and be reconciled to the Father now and forever).

We have nothing to boast about except the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 6:14 by whom the world has been crucified unto me and I unto the world. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 15:57

Do you know God has accepted you through Jesus Christ? Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul started every one of his letters this way because God wants you to know this is a gift and what a GIFT, no GiIFT comparable for apart from Jesus Christ, there is no grace or peace. This grace and peace deposited in our spirit by God Himself will make you and I humble, grateful, thankful, joyful, dance, sing, be in awe, in utter awe of HIS GIFT which is indescribable.

Turn Unto Life, Forsake Death....

"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repents, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance." Luke 15:9

Has the joy of heaven revealed in God's love, pardon and forgiveness through Christ become your very own inheritance. Let me tell you the only will you need to fear being left out of, GOD's WILL.

"There is a way that seem right unto man but it only leads to death." Proverbs 14:12

Surrender to HIS will or you can demand your will be done. One is mercy the other judgment.

“There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’” Luke 16:19-31

Is your joy God's joy of salvation, forgiveness and the kingdom of HIS Christ or worldly joy, affections and lusts? Are you enjoying forgiveness, freedom and peace from Christ through the Spirit so much so it compels you in CHRIST love to take others to the Cross? Is your name in the Book of Life inked in Blood?

"For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." Revelation 7:17

When has the Shepherd made you lie down?

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever." Psalm 23

Has the Lord's discipline, correction and instruction become your pleasurable comfort of resting in His safe pasture? Is your soul restored?

"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3

The cloud of witnesses surrounding us- " quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection;and others experienced mockings and scourgings, yes, also chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated men of whom the world was not worthy, wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes in the ground." Hebrews 11:36-38

Which Kingdom Am I Seeking? Temporal or Eternal? Where is My Heart?

"And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses." Luke 12:15

As we who follow Jesus getting older/wiser our will reflect that chasing and obtaining temporal materials, things made by men's hands are not important at all. Is this a reflective pattern where people can observe what is important to God is most significant to you and I?

"But godliness with contentment is great gain." I Timothy 6:6 - Is my contentment easily disrupted, disturbed on what I believe I am entitled to, for if it be so, I am carnal, a child and need to repent going on to maturity.

I am entitled to wrath but a revelation of grace and truth came from God through Jesus. Peace with the Almighty, acceptance in God's family, eternally, at a cost greater than mere mortals could pay. My affections should go to praise, thanksgiving for such a pardon, a kingdom that cannot rot, rust or be broken into.

"Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God" Colossians 3:1-3

"Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth." Proverbs 27:1

As I reflected in my journal yesterday morning, I shared with the young men who come by, there were 3 people in my journal in '08 and '09 who are not here now. The importance of us numbering our days to apply our hearts to wisdom is critical, living in the joy of God's finished work in Christ and for HIS glory every day. I returned home after dropping them off at school and soon had an email that a friend of mine's wife had passed away. He was on medical missions doing dental work in a village in Belize and found out the news. He was a young man and his wife the same. Somewhat of a shock but we who are in Christ should live in this glorious light knowing that day will be our best day, yet a hard day for those left behind but God will give grace, more grace to know it is not about us, it is about HIM.

For of HIM and through HIM and to HIM are all things to whom be glory forever! Romans 11:36

Are you excited about one sinner repenting? Has the joy of heaven's become yours personally regarding this?

So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves." John 6:53

"Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval." John 6:27

"You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life" John 5:39-40

"He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ." Colossians 1:28
